SGA was formed in 2001 by a small group of geeks in the Springfield, Missouri area who just wanted to game, meet new people, and have fun. We began hosting monthly LAN parties in a local bank community room. By 2003, our 8 person LANs had grown into 32-40 person LANs on average. It was good times! SGA - March, 2004 Sadly, nothing lasts forever. Broadband became ample and affordable. The birth of Steam and like games made an internet connection a must. Some friends moved on to college, marriage, etc. There simply wasn't as much of a demand for the monthly LANs anymore. By mid 2005, SGA closed its doors on the full time public LANs. Today, we still all keep in touch and game, only now it's mostly online. We host several online servers and get together almost nightly to MDK each other on the digital battlefield. Yeah...it's still good times! Come and join the fun! All we require is a cool attitude and the desire to blow things up! |
